Conditions for the carriage of items brought by passengers.
- The passenger may bring items aboard Koleje Dolnośląskie S.A. trains and transport them under their own supervision, with the exception of:
- items that may cause harm to other passengers through
- contamination or damage to their person or property, or may damage or contaminate the vehicle (e.g. sharp tools, objects with sharp edges, or open containers of greases, paints, etc.);
- items that may cause inconvenience to other passengers or expose them to discomfort;
- items that are smelly, flammable, combustible, explosive, or other dangerous materials;
- items causing a feeling of disgust;
- corpses and human remains;
- items whose transport is prohibited by separate legal regulations;
- vehicles with internal combustion engines.
- The passenger is obliged to supervise the items they carry with them and is responsible for any damage caused to other passengers or KD in this regard. The carrier is liable if the damage occurred through their fault.
- If a passenger is found transporting items prohibited for transport, the train attendant team certifies the use of the ticket for the trip segment and collects an additional fee for violating the regulations on the transport of excluded items, established based on the regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure dated 20 January 2005 (in case of refusal to pay the fee, a summons is issued). At the next train station stop, the passenger must leave the train along with these items. The ticket is refundable, after deducting a 10% handling fee.
- The passenger may transport items whose properties, packaging, volume, and weight allow for easy and risk-free handling and placement in designated areas.
- Luggage carried under the passenger’s supervision may be inspected/checked by authorities authorised to do so based on separate regulations and according to the rules specified therein.
- Free transport of items takes place according to the rules specified in the TP-KD (§ 35).
